I just found out about Skype Pro (about a month after it’s release) and it sounds really good, the ever improving VOIP service is starting to become a real contender to a standard land line phone.
I’m not a huge skype user, but it’s my number one choice for international calls and with skype pro it makes local calls really cheap too. If my mobile phone contract wasn’t so good, T-mobile Flext 35, I’d signup for it in a flash.

It’s due for release on 6th April, add that to you list of must see movies this year along with 300 and The Simpsons Movie and Transformers, it’s going to be a good year for films!

Ryan alerted me to this very cool plugin for wordpress yesterday, called PHP Exec.
It’s goal is simple, to allow you to put working php code in your wordpress posts and pages. Usually wordpress will clean up any php or script-looking text in posts and pages to protect your blog, as a security feature.
But sometimes it can be really useful and a lot quick just to dump a quick bit of php in a page rather than write a specific template file for it and this plugin makes it incredibly easy to do that.
All you have to do, once you’ve installed the plugin is to put your standard php inbetween:
<phpcode> … </phpcode> tags and it will be preserved perfectly and run as you would expect php to do, great for adding functionality on the fly.

Just a quick one this evening, how cool does that look!
It’s a piece of concept art for one of the vehicles in the next installment of HL2, episode 2, which has been delayed again to the end of the year, i suspect partly because it’s really 3 games in one, Portal, Halflife 2 Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2.
It will definitely be worth the wait tho, in the mean time I’ll be keeping up with DoD:S which I’ve just re-installed on one of the work machines for some after hours fragging!
