Moo Business Cards

TeaBass.com Moo Cards

I recieved a nice neat little package yesterday and within the cute litle bag was a small box full of Teabass Moo cards, 100 of them to be exact, from Moo.com

Moo.com is know for it’s flickr service which allows you to choose photos from your photo stream and get them printed out on these nice half business sized cards for only £9.99 for 100, they did a promo last year and gave out over 10000 free ones to quick fingered Flickr members which put them squarely on the map.

I’ve been wanting to get some business cards printed for quite a while now, and this seemed like the perfect way to get some cool and orignal cards at a great price.

Pile 'o' Moo

I took the design of the blog’s header and re-arranged it slightly in a 1000px x 400px photoshop file being sure to keep all of the main design elements away from the very edge, this is because when the cards are slided up the cut cannot be exactly precise so you have to leave a little runoff to allow moo to work with.

I then uploaded this image to Flickr and jumped over to Moo.com/flickr, it recognised my flickr login and automatically showed me my Flickr photostream, I just picked the Teabass card and made sure it looked right in the preview, filled out the form to set the text for the back of the card and hit buy.

Moo Cards

A week later, here they are in a neat little plastic box and I love them!

  5. hey ive checked this site before and it is really great, the usability and integration with flickr as you mention is very slick. i havent actually used them yet but this report makes me want to heh. Its good to see that they come in a nice little box too, and they work in the uk which is great! one small note, i tried clicking on your link and it goes to moo.com.flickr instead of moo.com/flickr

  7. Interesting provider. It’s quite an odd size they’ve picked for these cards — not really standard in any culture. Not American-sized business cards, not European-sized, not anything-sized. I’m curious how they came up with that particular size.

In any case, I’ve ordered me a pack. Half-and-half, business and personal. It’s a shame that if you have more than one front design, you can’t match those up to separate backs. Oh well.

  8. Yeah that’s my only real niggle, it would be great if they allowed you to do a number of different backsides too, I could have had all kinds of random taglines!
