It’s funny how - after using mine for 3 weeks I realised that I had’nt even rebooted it! Just been closing the lid to put it to sleep. It’s then back to life again within seconds.
Then i started a new job, got given an XP laptop and have to battle with it coming out of hibernation every day!
Just ordered it today, from Amazon of all places!!
It’s due here tomorrow morning
I went for the cheapest model in the end as the difference between all three was so small and had little effect on what I’m doing with it that it doesn’t matter.
I don’t want to offend anyone, but I’m not “switching”, I plan to install boot camp on it, and I’m still going to use my pc while I’m at home.
I don’t like the whole “switching” thing, if your intelligent you will use the right tool for the job, which usually means using Mac, Windows and possibly linux too.
This way I don’t have to compromise, I can’t wait to get it, but I won’t be forgetting windows xp any time soon either.
And I suggest parallels over boot camp. Much nicer in my opinion

Yeah, definately go with parallels, actually Apple recommends it!
I know what you’re saying about using the right OS for the job. I use Kubuntu on my PC for blogging and browsing the web, because it’s so fast to boot up and runs so fast, and then I use windows XP for web design, gaming, and school stuff.
I actually prefer running Windows natively since it can, when I tried it in Parallells I had issues with software (Command and Conquer Generals and the EVE Online Client) which is mainly what I want a portable Windows for - network gaming at friends.
The only downside is of course you have to reboot into the OS you want, rather than have XP in a box in OS X.
Boot Camp for me has worked flawlessly, and the functionality will be standard with Leopard anyway, though perhaps under a new name.
Welcome to the club my friend!

So what software should I get for it?

I just got mine a week ago. Already have had to return it because of a bad logic board, but they gave me a whole new one for it.
I would recommend that you download Quicksilver. A very nice launcher program that I have found to be very useful.
