The Healthy Week Experiment
Starting Monday I’m going to conduct a little experiment which I’m calling “The Healthy Week”.
For one whole week I’m going to try and eat only healthy foods, cutting out all the bad stuff I consume every day.
I think it’s fair to say that I have a terrible diet, I eat and drink a whole lot of crap; burgers, pizzas, cola, at least 3 sugars in every cup of tea, but thankfully I feel the effects of it too much. I’ve got a high metabolism so I’ve always been skinny and since leaving home for uni and having to cook for myself I’ve not stopped eating rubbish food.
Everyone I work with has been on a bit of a health thing this past month, going to the gym and watching what they eat whilst I stuff my face with all kinds of greasy goodness as well as the parents nagging at me to eat better, The Healthy Week is to prove that I can do it.
I personally think it’s going to cost me more, take longer to find/prepare food and leave me feeling hungry but we’ll see how it goes.
Check back next week!

Good luck on your “Healthy Week” Andrew! I really should try this too because I eat a lot crap :-\

So what are you eating? What is your routine? are you working out?
Evan Doyle on September 11, 2007 4:08 am
It’s more about what i’m not eating, burgers, snacks and fatty foods are all a no-no
I don’t work out or anything like that tho.

as if it will be more expensive! the only reason its expensive is cause you go out and buy it where its marked up and overpriced. if you for example made a sandwich at home or a salad it would be heaps cheaper. if you want a recipe for a really awesome chicken salad im happy to give it up, ditto with awesome cajun spiced chicken sandwiches.
i recon you can still have tea. yeah its caffeine but its not as bad as say coffee and it does have anti oxidants. maybe cut down how many sugars you put in haha. I mean I cant talk cause I have two in my tea, but still.
also you can eat like yogurt and things like that.and pick fruits that are in season so they are cheaper. you dont have to listen to any of this btw. just suggestions. xo
